News Photographer

About the role

WSYX/WTTE is seeking a creative full-time News Photographer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization.

Responsibilities

• Cover day-to-day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments
• Shoot full high definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops
• Utilize strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
• Produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Operate ENG news vehicles
• Edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
• Able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
