News Photographer

About the role

We are seeking a creative full-time News Photographer who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. A passion for storytelling is essential in this position.

Responsibilities

• Cover day-to-day general, in-depth features, and investigative assignments
• Shoot full high-definition (HD) on media cards
• Edit on desktops and laptops using non-linear edit systems
• Produce stories under tight deadlines
• Edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Operate ENG news vehicles

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of shooting experience with a network affiliate news organization
• Technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
• Excellent people skills, strong work ethic, and a great attitude
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
• Ability to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
