News Photographer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative full-time News Photographer who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. The ideal candidate will have ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization and a passion for storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Cover day-to-day general news, in-depth features, and sports
• Shoot full high-definition (HD) content using media cards
• Edit on desktops and laptops using non-linear edit systems
• Produce stories under tight deadlines
• Shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Operate ENG news vehicles
• Lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Requirements

• Previous shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
• Excellent people skills and a strong work ethic
• Interest in shooting both news and sports
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
• Ability to work collaboratively under tight deadlines
