News Photographer
KUTV is seeking a creative and dedicated full-time News Photographer who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories.
About the role
You will cover day-to-day general, in-depth features, and investigative assignments. The position involves shooting full High-definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops. Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for storytelling are essential.
Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
- Operate ENG news vehicles
- Lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Produce compelling stories under tight deadlines
Requirements
- Two years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization
- Degree in Journalism or a related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate ENG news vehicles
- At least one year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
