About the role

New York Theatre Workshop seeks an enthusiastic visual and cinematic storyteller to join the marketing team as the Marketing Content Coordinator. This job is ideal for someone who loves the creativity of conceiving and designing digital media content for social media and advertising.

Responsibilities

  • Strong copywriting for social media, e-blasts, and advertising to leverage existing brand voice and project/production-specific language.
  • Active on social media personally or professionally, conscious of trends and pulse of pop culture.
  • Engage with the community online, respond to DMs and comments, monitor stories, and re-share.
  • Generate content ideas with achievable and manageable workflows.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere), preferably After Effects and Illustrator, and Dreamweaver.
  • Manage layouts and build graphics, resize media placements, create physical signage, and generate signature images.
  • Comfortable with DSLR and iPhone capture for behind-the-scenes and social media assets, adjust camera settings for optimal video and sound capture.
  • Skilled video editor for short-form videos for advertising and social media, understand dynamic on-screen layout and transitions, and leverage music to drive action.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, experience in design categories to estimate project time, anticipate edits, and deliver assets on time.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
  • Two years of experience in content creation and video editing, comprehensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirements

  • Passion for theatre and audience engagement.
  • Experience in arts marketing a plus.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in content creation and video editing.
  • Comprehensive experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience collaborating with colleagues in Canva a plus.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, project management, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent thinking and collaborative problem-solving ability.
  • Profound understanding of social media platforms, including Meta, YouTube, and TikTok.
  • Strong storytelling and design skills, capable of crafting compelling content that resonates with audiences.
