New York – Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate (Junior/Mid-Level)

Job Summary

We Are Looking For An Associate To Join Our Strategic Transactions And Licensing Group (“Tech Group”) In New York.

About the Role

The Tech Group Collaborates With Leading Venture-backed Startups And Venture Capital Firms In Technology, Life Sciences, AI, Financial Services, And Consumer Products. Associates Will Develop Expertise Throughout The Entire Lifecycle Of a Company, Handle Multiple Matters Concurrently, And Have Client Contact From Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements
• Provide general intellectual property, privacy, and business/product counseling directly to clients
• Work on and manage transactions in all stages of our clients’ businesses, from formation to financings to both buy and sell-side acquisitions and beyond

Requirements

• Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients
• Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following: commercial contracts drafting and negotiation and/or intellectual property components of venture financing or M&A transactions
• JD 2022-2023
• A technical degree is not required but enthusiasm for, and a willingness to learn about, emerging technology is a must
• Admission to the State Bar of New York
• Superior academic credentials from a top law school and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Previous large law firm experience required

Pay

Salary Range $260,000 - $310,000
