New York Store Operations Associate

At CubeSmart, our culture makes the difference. When we say it’s what’s inside that counts, we are saying “you count.” In your role as a Store Operations Associate, you will manage and maintain self-storage stores within your district, focusing on both customer service and property maintenance.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
• Interact face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
• Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
• Walk the property to perform daily operational tasks, including lock checks and showing units to customers.
• Work both independently and on a team to rent self-storage units, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments using our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.

Property Maintenance

• Perform daily walks of the property, cleaning units and store grounds.
• Open and close storage doors (up to 50 lbs.).
• Maintain the facility by mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units, and similar activities.
• Keep the storage facility clean and safe, ensuring conditions meet company guidelines (e.g., clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, tidy storage doors, and decluttered office space).

Requirements

• A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
• Experience delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
• A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office products.
• Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Frequent physical requirements: stand, sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, climb, or balance on a ladder.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
