New York - Campus Retail Associate (Temp)

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Campus Retail Associate and support store leaders in all facets of retail operations to ensure optimal store performance. This role provides an opportunity to enhance your skills and gain valuable, transferrable experience in a vibrant campus retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and create a friendly atmosphere to enhance their positive experience.
• Support store operations, including operating equipment and cash registers, ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions.
• Maintain store appearance by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or spaces.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• For temporary positions: Availability to work weekly for up to 90 days, including occasional weekends, with flexibility for opening, midday, or closing shifts.

Physical Demands

• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years for temporary employment.
• Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Outstanding attitude with a willingness to learn and excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
• Flexible availability throughout the academic year, including peak periods.

Pay

Temporary Campus Retail Associate pay range: $16.00/hour (New York State stores only).
