New Journeys Peer Support Specialist

About the role

As a Peer Support Specialist, you will work with clients ages 15-40 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. This position is a vital role providing stability and support during a difficult time in their lives.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on symptom management and community resources
• Engage clients in identifying their overall goals, personal supports, and strategies to reduce self-stigma of their diagnosis
• Advocate for the client's perspective, preference, and treatment goals within team meetings
• Provide transportation to clients as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Washington State HCA approved Peer Support training certificate
• Eligible for Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor credential
• Valid Driver's license in good standing, and auto insurance

Pay

• $19-$21/hour

Schedule

• 20 hours/week, flexible daytime/evening schedule
• Flexible work environment - work from home with travel to clients in the community
