New Home Sales Agent - Richmond Metro Area
Vertical Builders is a growing semi-custom homebuilder serving the Richmond Metro area and surrounding Central Virginia communities. We build beautiful, high-quality homes with a focus on thoughtful design, strong systems, transparent communication, and an outstanding client experience. Key Responsibilities
- Sell new construction homes while meeting or exceeding sales goals and maintaining target profit margins
- Track, follow up with, and nurture leads through the full sales process
- Walk clients through communities, floor plans, structural options, available homes, and the building process
- Write accurate, detailed contracts and addenda and submit them for approval
- Maintain strong knowledge of Vertical Builders' floor plans, structural options, design capabilities, and sales protocols
- Aid in creating, reviewing, and auditing listings for accuracy
- Monitor closing timelines and communicate updates, delays, or early closing opportunities to clients
- Research market trends, sales comps, competitor pricing, design options, and upgrade offerings
- Provide feedback to management on pricing, floor plans, design changes, spec homes, model homes, and client needs
- Partner with marketing on community needs, sales center planning, listings, and promotional objectives
- Respond promptly to phone calls and client communication
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of new home sales experience required
- Strong closing ability and proven success in new construction sales
- Clear, professional communication skills with strong listening and client discovery abilities
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a collaborative sales environment
- Coachable, adaptable, and willing to continuously learn and improve
- Experience or training in new home sales techniques preferred
- HubSpot CRM and Mark Systems experience preferred but not required
- Must be available to work weekends (one weekend off per month)
Pay and Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 position
- Base salary $20,000 per year, plus commission
- Typical total earnings $215,000-230,000/year, depending on sales performance
