New Home Sales Agent - Richmond Metro Area

Vertical Builders is a growing semi-custom homebuilder serving the Richmond Metro area and surrounding Central Virginia communities. We build beautiful, high-quality homes with a focus on thoughtful design, strong systems, transparent communication, and an outstanding client experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Sell new construction homes while meeting or exceeding sales goals and maintaining target profit margins
  • Track, follow up with, and nurture leads through the full sales process
  • Walk clients through communities, floor plans, structural options, available homes, and the building process
  • Write accurate, detailed contracts and addenda and submit them for approval
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Vertical Builders' floor plans, structural options, design capabilities, and sales protocols
  • Aid in creating, reviewing, and auditing listings for accuracy
  • Monitor closing timelines and communicate updates, delays, or early closing opportunities to clients
  • Research market trends, sales comps, competitor pricing, design options, and upgrade offerings
  • Provide feedback to management on pricing, floor plans, design changes, spec homes, model homes, and client needs
  • Partner with marketing on community needs, sales center planning, listings, and promotional objectives
  • Respond promptly to phone calls and client communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of new home sales experience required
  • Strong closing ability and proven success in new construction sales
  • Clear, professional communication skills with strong listening and client discovery abilities
  • Highly proactive, self-motivated, accountable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative sales environment
  • Coachable, adaptable, and willing to continuously learn and improve
  • Experience or training in new home sales techniques preferred
  • HubSpot CRM and Mark Systems experience preferred but not required
  • Must be available to work weekends (one weekend off per month)

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, W-2 position
  • Base salary $20,000 per year, plus commission
  • Typical total earnings $215,000-230,000/year, depending on sales performance
