About the role
As a newly licensed RN, this one-year Medical/Surgical to Critical Care Transition Pathway is designed to provide you with the training, mentorship, and progressive experiences needed to build confidence and develop the skill set for a future in critical care.
Responsibilities
- Attend Nurse Residency Program with embedded Critical Care Fundamentals.
- Orient to Step-down intermediate unit with targeted support.
- Begin Critical Care Bootcamp.
- Work one-on-one with an ICU preceptor.
- Complete specialty-focused fellowship modules.
- Prepare for and pursue critical care roles upon successful completion.
Requirements
- Six months or more of prior paid clinical experience in a nursing support role.
- AS: Nursing (Required).
- BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)
- RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Six months or more of prior paid clinical experience in a nursing support role.
- Education: AS: Nursing (Required).
- Licenses / Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED).
