New Graduate Nurse - RN Residency

Role Overview: The RN Resident is a newly graduated registered nurse participating in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support transition into professional practice. Responsibilities: Provide individualized patient care following current standards, utilizing evidence-based practices. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, families, and significant others to ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. Engage in ongoing professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Support the development of protocols and utilize clinical resources to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Qualifications & Skills: Must possess a nursing degree (Diploma or Bachelor's), be licensed as an RN (single state or multi-state compact), and hold BLS certification. Less than one year of RN experience is required. Strong communication, critical thinking, time management, and computer skills are essential. Experience with electronic health records like Epic or 3M is preferred. Key Duties: Conduct assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care; promote teamwork and collaboration; support evidence-based practice; and ensure safety and quality across the patient care continuum. Demonstrate professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all practices.
