About the Role
The RN Resident is a new graduate registered nurse participating in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support the transition into professional practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based standards
- Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams and communicate with patients and families
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and professional development activities
- Support safe, efficient, and culturally competent care delivery
- Assist in developing protocols and promoting best practices
- Uphold organizational policies, standards, and ethical practices
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor for peers and students
Requirements & Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with less than 1 year of RN experience
- Current RN license and BLS certification; multi-state licensure preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; experience with Epic and 3M preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively
- Proficiency in English and commitment to professional growth
