About the Role

The RN Resident is a new graduate registered nurse participating in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support the transition into professional practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based standards
  • Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams and communicate with patients and families
  • Participate in performance improvement, research, and professional development activities
  • Support safe, efficient, and culturally competent care delivery
  • Assist in developing protocols and promoting best practices
  • Uphold organizational policies, standards, and ethical practices
  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor for peers and students

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with less than 1 year of RN experience
  • Current RN license and BLS certification; multi-state licensure preferred
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills; experience with Epic and 3M preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively
  • Proficiency in English and commitment to professional growth
