New Graduate Nurse Residency Program

Role Overview: The RN Resident participates in a comprehensive 12-month Nurse Residency Program designed to support new graduates with less than six months of experience. Responsibilities: Providing patient-centered care by performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver culturally competent care aligned with standards and ethical guidelines. Under supervision, manages assigned patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and service excellence.Program Participation: Engages in specialty/service line programs, NRP sessions, and unit-based orientation phases—including system, core, and specialty onboarding—to enhance clinical skills and professional growth. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.Current RN licensure, with multi-state or single-state certification.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.Less than six months of nursing experience. Key Duties: Delivering individualized nursing care, fostering effective partnerships with patients and team members, and adhering to professional standards and policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Supports system-wide goals of service excellence and professional development.
