About the role

Tidewell Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated Recent Grad RN to join their 12-month Nurse Residency program.

Responsibilities

Join a 3:1 Nurse Resident / Clinical Coach ratio
Participate in weekly classroom education on hospice patient and family care
Complete the 12-month Nurse Residency program to become a Certified Hospice Nurse
Receive exam fees coverage by Empath Health
Work 40 hours per week, typically consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts in the Hospice House and 4 hours of clinical education per week
Experience six months of practical training under a Hospice Clinical Coach/Preceptor in a hospice house setting
Rotate with other hospice teams and service lines such as Home, ALF, and Admissions
Receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements

Recent graduates are welcome to apply
Less than 1 year of RN experience required for the residency program
ASPN or BSN degree from an accredited program required
Current Florida RN License or multi-state compact license required
Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Prefers clinical experience with hospice or ALF patients
Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before direct participant contact
