Neurosurgery Surgical Tech Coordinator

About the role

The Neurosurgery Surgical Tech Coordinator supports the preparation and coordination of the operating room and surgical team to facilitate the performance of various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Works with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator to evaluate surgeon requests for new instruments.
• Collaborates with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator, Sterile Processing manager, vendors, and surgeon offices for specific surgical case needs.
• Coordinates inventory of specialty items, checks product outdates, and discusses costs and requested products with product representatives.
• Manages preference cards and preference card changes with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator and Billing & Documentation specialist.
• Trains and mentors new staff members.
• Participates in the hiring process.

Requirements

• Holds a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technologist in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) certification.
• Has a minimum of two years of experience in an acute surgical setting or GI clinical setting.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation, supplies, aseptic principles, and Joint Commission standards.
• Displays strong communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology training program.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $27.97 - $41.60 /hour, reflecting the lowest to highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Schedule

80 hours per pay period, 8s or 12s plus call schedule, Day shift, Not remote.
