Neurosurgery APP - Full-Time, No Call

Role Overview

This position involves providing neurosurgical care as a Neurosurgery NP or PA in a regional hospital setting. Key duties include performing inpatient neurosurgery consults and follow-ups, serving as first assist in surgeries (primarily procedures and wound closure), and managing outpatient pre- and post-operative care. Collaboration with healthcare teams ensures continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient neurosurgery consults and follow-ups (average 4 daily, volume varies)
• Assist in surgeries, focusing on procedures and wound closures
• Manage outpatient pre- and post-operative patient care
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Current PA-C certification
• Eligible for Pennsylvania licensure
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical assessment skills
• Interest in neurosurgery or surgical specialties preferred
