About the role

The Department of Neurological Surgery seeks a Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery to lead the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery. The Chief will oversee clinical, educational, research, and administrative aspects under the Department Chair's guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in strategic planning and operational oversight
• Collaborate with leadership of Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and clinical departments
• Mentor junior faculty and support clinical and educational activities
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations
• Promote division/department services and educate the medical community

Requirements

• MD degree
• Completed residency in neurological surgery
• Approved fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery
• ABNS Board Eligible/Board Certified
• Unrestricted New York Medical License
• Fellowship-trained candidates preferred
• At least 5-15 years of practice experience
• Excellence in developing an academic clinical practice and leading teams
• Research efforts will be supported based on track-record and career goals

Qualifications

• Competence in clinical, surgical, pre and post-operative patient care
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted New York Medical License
• Experience in leading teams to successful outcomes
• Track-record in research efforts

Benefits

Includes a competitive salary range of $750,000-$1,000,000, a 403(b) with match, LTD, STD, paid malpractice, and more.

Pay

Salary range: $750,000 - $1,000,000

Schedule

Scheduled hours: MON-FRI, 8 AM-5:30 PM, Scheduled daily hours: 8.5 HOURS
