About the role

Join Intermountain Health as a foundational pediatric neurosurgeon in Nevada, where you will help build the future of pediatric neurosurgery and contribute to the development of the state’s first freestanding children's hospital. You will provide highly specialized care to a rapidly growing pediatric population, shape clinical programs, drive growth, and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals committed to quality care and excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Intermountain Nevada Children’s Pediatric Neurosurgery team as one of two full‑time pediatric neurosurgeons.
• Collaborate with an established advanced practice provider (APP) and collegial staff and leadership.
• Manage all clinic, surgical, and call responsibilities on a single hospital campus.
• Maintain a sustainable call rotation with additional compensation for supplemental coverage.
• Be eligible for an adjunct faculty appointment with the University of Utah Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery.
• Pursue leadership and research opportunities as they develop over time.
• Contribute to strategic planning, program development, clinical pathways, recruitment, and the future growth of pediatric neurosurgical services throughout the region.
• Help shape Nevada’s first freestanding children's hospital and its pediatric neurosurgery program.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine.
• ACGME‑accredited residency training in Neurological Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurosurgery.
• Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Neurosurgery.
• Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
• Federal DEA registration.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process.
