Neuropsychologist Supervisor - In Patient (Full time) Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehab, Elkins Park
About the role
Provide psychology services to the CVA population and supervise neuropsychologists on inpatient programs at Elkins Park.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients' needs, abilities, and/or behavior using pre-screening and assessment tools, clinical interviews, and direct observation.
- Documents findings in electronic medical records.
- Provides education to patients, family members, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Facilitates group psychological interventions and support groups.
- Develops and monitors treatment plans.
- Treats individuals and families on issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, social, and interpersonal disorders.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff, primary care providers, patients, and community agencies.
- Writes and implements behavioral plans and protocols.
- Completes timely documentation and billing.
- Pursues continuing education.
- Complies with hospital and network policies regarding confidentiality and emergency procedures.
- Participates in team leadership for discharge planning.
Requirements
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an APA accredited university required. Experience working with patients with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, amputations, strokes, orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, and workers compensation is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Qualifications
Licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Skills
Knowledge of evidence-based pre-screening and assessment tools, clinical interviewing, and direct observation.
