About the role

The Neuromed Tech position at St. John’s Regional Medical Center involves demonstrating knowledge and application skills of common neurological testing and procedures. You will prepare patients and conduct specialized neuro diagnostic tests to assist neurologists in measuring electrical activity in the brain and nervous system.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and application skills of common neurological testing and procedures.
• Prepare patients and conduct specialized neuro diagnostic tests, including Routine/Ambulatory EEG's, Evoked Potentials (EP), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), and Polysomnograms (PSG).
• Accurately assess patient's physical and emotional condition.
• Provide accurate and complete documentation.
• Perform electroencephalographic tests and other neurological examinations as requested.
• Participate in Ambulatory Services Department support activities.
• Assist physicians as requested.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent in work experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• One (1) year recent experience as an EEG technician in an acute care facility.
• Currently working towards obtaining EEG certification from ABRET.

Preferred

• Certification as an EEG technician.

Qualifications

Pay

The posted compensation range of $33.79 - $42.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
