Neurology Account Specialist - (Cincinnati, OH) (Field Based)
About the role
Eisai is a growing pharmaceutical company focused on neurology and oncology, with a strong emphasis on research and development. We are seeking a Neurology Account Specialist (NAS) to join a diverse team of sales professionals supporting the launch of a new product in the U.S. The NAS will develop and execute business plans for an assigned geography, focusing on demand generation by conveying complex clinical information to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key stakeholders consistent with the FDA-approved indication. The role involves educating customers on the patient journey to therapy, building trusted professional relationships, and working cross-functionally while adhering to Eisai’s ethics and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and demand generation within an assigned geography by effectively conveying complex clinical information to customers and key stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and execute strategic key-account plans.
- Understand, navigate, and communicate a successful patient pathway to customers.
- Anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges with HCPs in the assigned geography.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide knowledge for informed formulary decisions by hospitals.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of assigned Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), including market dynamics, stakeholder mapping, HCP referral processes, access, and patient pathways.
- Engage and influence key customers (e.g., local and regional hospital systems) to sustain a strong organizational presence in the Alzheimer’s marketplace.
- Seek mentorship to learn and build key sales skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience in two or more of the following: infusion, diagnostic, biologic, medical device, buy and bill, rare disease, specialty pharmacy, and/or neurology. Neurology and infused product experience is preferred.
- Experience working within the U.S. healthcare industry, including delivery of care, market access, reimbursement landscape, and key stakeholders influencing decision-making.
- Experience with healthcare delivery systems (e.g., buy & bill, specialty pharmacy, distribution models, medical device, or biologics) is strongly preferred.
- Additional commercial function experience (e.g., sales training, marketing, managed markets, sales/business analytics) is a plus.
- Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Ability to navigate matrixed environments constructively and collaboratively, including cross-functional and external partnerships.
- For Sr. Specialist-AD roles: Proven track record in building and executing business plans for top markets, driving growth and profitability, and establishing trusted partnerships. Demonstrated success in networking, maintaining strong business relationships, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Must be able to engage in person with HCPs and third parties at their offices or institutions regularly. Selected candidates may need to complete third-party credentialing or vaccination requirements for access.

Pay
The annual base salary range for the Neurology Account Specialist (Cincinnati, OH) is $133,200–$174,800. This position is eligible to participate in Eisai Inc.’s Sales Incentive Plan. Final pay determinations depend on factors such as experience, education, knowledge, and skills.
