Accounting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Investigate invoices and underlying documentation (including receipts of goods, purchase orders, etc.) to determine resolution and process invoices for suppliers.
• Work with multiple departments within Denso to resolve invoice issues.
• Investigate, interpret, and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are not discernible.
• Understand and communicate to other departments any impact on financial statements for corrections required to process invoices.
• Suggest process improvement activities for the invoice deviation area.
• Maintain required KPIs for resolving invoice issues for the F&A team.
• Process weekly payment cycles and month-end close in the accounts payable system for assigned companies.
• Review RNV balances for companies and investigate open receipts to determine required actions to close.
• Maintain internal control structure and JSOX compliance, including assistance with JSOX testing of the accounts payable area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree along with 1 or more years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles preferred.
• Experience with transactional accounting processes for procure-to-pay functions, including receiving and matching invoices to receipts.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, including inventory management systems.
• Advanced Excel experience, including VLOOKUP formulas and pivot tables.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Accounting Platform.
