The Department of Neurology in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University seeks neuromuscular neurologists to join our team.
Stony Brook Medicine is Long Island's premier academic medical center, integrating education, research, and patient care across Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook Children's Hospital, five Health Sciences schools, major centers and institutes, and over 50 community‑based healthcare settings throughout Suffolk County. The hospital has 603 beds and serves as Suffolk County's only tertiary care center and Regional Trauma Center; Stony Brook Children's offers advanced pediatric specialty care with more than 180 pediatric specialists in 30 specialties.
Responsibilities
- Perform nerve conduction/EMG studies.
- Participate in the Stony Brook ALS Center of Excellence.
- Assignment to the inpatient general neurology service in line with standard clinical department requirements.
- Teach medical students, residents, neurophysiology fellows, and EMG technologists.
Qualifications
Required:
- MD or PhD degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Eligibility for New York State licensure.
- Completion of an accredited Neurology residency program.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine.
Preferred:
- Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine.
- Research interest is strongly desirable.
