Career Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology in the Neuromuscular Division.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Care for patients in the UHealth outpatient settings
• Conduct EMGs at Uhealth, JMH and develop the EMG service at Uhealth Tower
• Train/mentor physicians and staff
• Prepare and present at teaching conferences
• Develop research program in Neuromuscular Disorder
• Obtain data and results for future clinical research awards
• Conduct EMGs testing at Uhealth and JMH clinics
• Participate in educational and mentorship activities

Qualifications

• MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
• Neuromuscular Fellowship
• Board certification in Neurology (strongly recommended)
• Eligible for Florida Medical License
• Strong clinical and research background in Neuromuscular Disorder

Skills & Abilities

• Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
• Good organizational skills
