Neurodiagnostic Tech
Join our team at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC as a Neurodiagnostic Tech. Select full-time positions are eligible for up to $10,000 in commitment incentives.
About the Role
The Neurodiagnostic Tech performs standard and complex electroneurodiagnostic tests in the Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and polysomnographic testing on patients in the Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may be performed in a lab, clinic, patient bedside, or in the operating room.
Pay
Salary range: $28.87 - $44.62 per hour (Hiring Range). Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equity.
Schedule
Per Diem and Full-time positions available.
Requirements
Education
- Graduation from an AMA or CAAHEP accredited program in Sleep or Neurodiagnostics program of Neurophysiology (or equivalent combination of experience, training, and experience).
Licensure/Certification
Registered in one of the following specialty areas:
- EEG (Electroencephalogram- R. EEG T., CLTM)
- EP (Evoked Potentials-R. EP T.)
- Polysomnography (RPSGT)
- Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM)
- Nerve Conduction Velocity studies (NCV)
- Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
Professional Experience
- Neurodiagnostic Tech II:
- If completion of an AMA or CAAHEP accredited program in Sleep or Neurodiagnostics: No prior experience required.
- If a High School diploma or GED: Two (2) years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures.
- Neurodiagnostic Tech III:
- If completion of an acceptable program of Neurophysiology: Five (5) years prior experience required.
- If a High School diploma or GED: Seven (7) years of experience performing a variety of Sleep or Neurodiagnostics procedures.
