About the role

The Neurodiagnostic Tech position at Regions Hospital involves providing the technical component of all EEG testing types including routine, sleep deprived, portable, video and carotid endarterectomy monitoring under the direction of a Neurologist. The role also includes maintaining patient data for interpretation, storage and retrieval; cleaning and maintaining equipment, and all monitoring products. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for EEG testing types including routine, sleep deprived, portable, video and carotid endarterectomy monitoring under the direction of a Neurologist.
  • Maintain patient data for interpretation, storage and retrieval.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, and all monitoring products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6 months patient care experience in a health care setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate Degree or higher is preferred or enrollment in an accredited ND program.
  • Certification in END or registration in one of the following areas: EEG (R. EEG T.), Evoked Potentials (R. EP T.), Nerve Conduction (R. NCS T.) or enrollment in END Technology program and END certification obtained within 5 years of hire preferred.
