Network, Video and Wireless Technician

About the role

A Wireless, Video and Network Support Technician is needed for a growing network, video, telecom and wireless integration firm based in central Massachusetts. This is a temporary to permanent position for someone looking to grow their IT support career.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and implement customer’s networks in a dynamic environment
• Follow the lead of a Senior Network Engineer
• Work independently and in a team environment
• Travel within the New England area for customer support

Requirements

• Minimum of some experience in wireless and network support
• Knowledge of networking and wireless
• Experience with various manufacturers like Ruckus, Fortinet, Meru, Aruba, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Exalt, Siklu, Axis, Arecont, Milestone, Ringcentral, and PBX/VoIP installation and configuration
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Comfortable working on ladders and roofs, and able to climb up to 40' high extension ladders
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and place a 20 pound box on a 5.5 foot high shelf
• Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills
• Clean driving record and personal transportation required

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of relevant experience
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Exceptional communication skills
• Relevant certifications (OSHA 10 Hour or higher card, etc.)

Skills

• Strong computer skills and troubleshooting knowledge
• Working knowledge of deployment and certification of voice/data cable
• Knowledge of construction of buildings
• Knowledge of use of hand and power tools (drill, screw gun, saw, etc.)
• Software knowledge of MS Office, DWG, Adobe, and Web Browser

Benefits

The position offers a target rate of $15 to $25 per hour, with 40 hours a week. Part-time options are also available.
