About the role

The Equipment and Service Technician at Ascentek is responsible for installing and servicing various types of equipment, providing excellent customer service, and performing preventative maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Install and service equipment such as vehicle lifts, fluid dispensing pumps, steel and poly liquid and lubricant plumbing and storage tanks, and other related equipment.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer demand calls and performing preventative maintenance on contracted and owned equipment.
  • Install new equipment independently with minimal supervision or direction.
  • Drive to customer sites to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform required repairs, and answer customer questions.
  • Display mechanical aptitude to service and repair a variety of equipment.
  • Problem solve tough issues without a clear solution.
  • Accurately log and report parts and inventory used to complete repairs.
  • Interact with management and other personnel to analyze and correct any equipment performance issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all machine components, replacing items as needed.
  • Complete field service reports and close out work orders as necessary.
  • Complete and submit daily/weekly online timecard and expense report.
  • Participate in weekly tech meetings.
  • Be willing to travel with the possibility of staying overnight.

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or GED, with proven 2-5 years of field service experience. A valid driver's license, including the ability to obtain a Health Card, is also required. Mechanical skills and aptitude, construction/trade experience, and knowledge of pipefitting, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry are preferred.

  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints.

Skills

Knowledge of preventative maintenance schedules, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to problem solve are essential. The ability to maneuver around a job site including small spaces in and around equipment is also required.
