Network Telephony Tech - Hawaii (Oahu)
Location: Oahu, HI, with travel to local offices across the island
Duration: 1 year contract
Pay range: $25 - $31/hr
About the role
The Network Technician will assist with the proper maintenance of the LAN, wireless, and WAN voice and data networks. This role provides Level 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve network and telephony issues, and helps ensure the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voice communications network, including client hardware and software issues related to network telephony. This position will spend part of its time dedicated to enterprise-wide VOIP support and part of its time on in-person network support at facilities around Oahu.
Candidates must have their own vehicle, an active driver’s license, and car insurance.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and manage data network and telephony equipment, including phones, routers, LAN switches, wireless equipment, servers, backup systems, and network management and diagnostic tools
- Assist with network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
- Perform basic inventory management processes
- Create equipment Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and track them through to resolution
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting support under supervision
Requirements
- 2+ years of network support experience
- Cisco routers and switches experience
- In-person hardware and telephony troubleshooting experience
- Telephony / VOIP experience
