Network Systems Administrator - IT
About the role
The Network Systems Administrator position is within the IT department of Hawai‘i Pacific Health, a not-for-profit health care network with multiple locations across Hawai'i and the Pacific Region. The IT department manages all systems at the organization's facilities, including specialized programs in women’s health, pediatric care, cardiovascular services, cancer care, and more.
Responsibilities
- Implement enterprise-wide systems
- Design, install, configure, maintain and perform system integration of primarily non-Windows mid-range servers (Unix, AIX, VMS)
- Firewalls, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), storage systems, storage area networks (SANs)
- Network perimeter security, backup systems, cabling and power infrastructure and their associated components
- Provide Tier 2 on-call support for these systems
- Research and recommend software and hardware products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Health Care or related field and/or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Two (2) years working experience with Information Technology systems
Qualifications
- System analysis, design, implementation and administration of UNIX, LINUX, firewalls, backup systems, storage arrays and/or networks (Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks)
