Network, Infrastructure & Systems Administrator
About the role
If successful, you will provide an efficient, effective and secure centralised and remote network service for AMES Australia staff and clients.
Responsibilities
- Work with Microsoft and Citrix technologies in both cloud and on-premise platforms
- Work with Storage Area Networks, Virtualisation and Remote Access technologies and Open Source platforms
- Solve hardware and software problems in an efficient manner
- Liaise with a range of staff and external agencies
- Manage system implementation projects within timelines
- Produce coherent documentation and reports targeted at both user and technical levels
- Maintain and acquire new professional skills through training, research and self-study
Requirements
- Minimum of Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field and/or Demonstrated experience working in this field
- Demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft and Citrix technologies in both cloud and on-premise platforms
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to work with Storage Area Networks, Virtualisation and Remote Access technologies and Open Source platforms
- Good problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to successfully resolve hardware and software problems in an efficient manner
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with a range of staff and external agencies
- Demonstrated ability to manage system implementation projects within timelines
- Continually maintain and acquire new professional skills through training, research and self-study
Qualifications
