Network Infrastructure/System Administrator
About the role
CACI is looking for a Network System Administrator to join the Luke Team, supporting the customer's data communications network, maintaining network hardware and software, monitoring the network, and performing necessary maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Cisco network solutions, software defined networks, and firewalls from AWS, Google, and Microsoft.
The Luke program provides dev ops, applied technology investigations, operations and maintenance, and infrastructure lifecycle support services across the ODNI’s enterprise, with support in NOVA and Bethesda including software engineering/development, O&M, technology investigations, customer advocacy, business process engineering, and system design.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls) ensuring seamless network operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, implement security measures, and proactively optimize network performance
- Monitor and resolve network-related service tickets
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and network design documentation
- Setup user accounts, permissions, and passwords
- Perform network upgrades to maintain system integrity and overall availability
- Support and administer third-party applications
- Ensure security and efficiency of IT infrastructure following industry standards
Qualifications
Required qualifications include an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field, and experience designing and building enterprise-level network architectures.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting production network systems built with Cisco and/or Juniper network vendor platforms
- Knowledge of and experience with networking technology and protocols, TCP/IP, Routing (static, OSPF, BGP, and policy-based), Firewalls (zone-based policies and ACLs), SSH, VPNs
- Knowledge of network management platforms such as Solarwinds
- Demonstrated understanding of IPv4 networks
- Experience with network device hardening in accordance with industry best practices
- Knowledge of different operating systems (Microsoft, Unix, Linux, etc.)
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, critical thinking, and teamworking skills
Desired qualifications include Cisco CCNP or Juniper JCNIP certifications, experience with automating network tasks using Ansible or Python, familiarity with cloud hosting solutions, and VMWare experience.
Pay
The proposed salary range for this position is $120,800 - $265,800, with a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time off benefits.
