Network Engineer, Senior
As a senior network engineer on our team, you’ll be integral to architecting, deploying, and operating complex network environments across various DoW clients in the Indo-Pacific. Create and employ new architectures to meet client requirements adhering to Zero Trust best practices and IC data header guidelines. You’ll interface with key stakeholders and users, including internal delivery and engineering teams as well as cybersecurity professionals, to assure resilient data-centric delivery. You’ll support the design and implementation of custom policy to ensure positive control of data across hybrid cloud environments. You will mentor the next set of data engineers to help them grow into tomorrow’s data architects.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and configure network solutions, including TCP, IP, subnetting, IPv6, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT/PAT, MPLS, QoS, or DHCP
- Work with a critical agency’s Type 1 cryptographic devices and CSfC
- Implement F5 application layer routing for traffic optimization, including BIG-IP
- Manage hybrid networks, firewalls, and security policies
- Document and diagram technical architectures
- Mentor junior engineers to develop future data architects
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in network engineering
- Secret clearance (required)
- HS diploma or GED
Qualifications
- Experience working in federal, DoW, or IC agency environments
- Knowledge of federal information security policies, standards, procedures, directives, frameworks, federal security authorizations, assessments, and risk management processes for enterprise systems
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or Engineering (preferred)
- Certifications from vendors including Cisco, Juniper, or F5 (preferred)

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration required.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
