Join us and take responsibility for completing site surveys and creating structured designs for customer networks that support voice, data, security, and audio-visual systems. You’ll design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents while collaborating with IT, facilities, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to analyze requirements and develop system designs, estimates, implementation plans, and management reports.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document complex network and security systems and procedures for implementation and troubleshooting
  • Develop network architecture designs and supporting documentation for global network deployments
  • Implement final network solutions supporting on-premises and cloud environments
  • Coordinate structured cabling design with other design disciplines
  • Manage production of network devices and solutions
  • Deploy, upgrade, and troubleshoot multi-vendor network and security equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, VMware)

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, and supporting multi-protocol IP backbone and access networks
  • 3+ years of experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multi-vendor network and security solutions
  • 3+ years of experience documenting complex network and security systems
  • Knowledge of security, routing, and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, L3VPNs)
  • Experience with Secret classified networks
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DoD networks
  • Experience deploying and configuring Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN)
  • Experience with F5 solutions
  • Experience operating, deploying, or administering Linux/Unix and Windows systems
  • Experience applying STIGs or security hardening of systems
  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, VMWare, JNCIA, or JNCP

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours per week are eligible for benefits. Individuals below this threshold are eligible for select offerings, excluding health benefits.

Pay

Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected annualized compensation range for this position is $77,500 to $176,000.

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite. Remote positions may require occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility. Hybrid roles require frequent work from a Booz Allen facility and may include customer site visits. Onsite roles are primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
