Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot core network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, wireless platforms, and internet connectivity.
- Maintain secure and reliable connectivity for electronic health record systems, cloud services, VoIP/UC platforms, remote users, and site-to-site communications.
- Implement and support network security technologies such as VLAN segmentation, NAC, IDS/IPS, MFA-integrated remote access, secure DNS, web filtering, and endpoint-aware access controls.
- Cook routine review of logs, alerts, and network events to identify suspicious activity, performance degradation, and configuration issues.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation for network devices, firmware, firewalls, wireless controllers, and related infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce standards for network configuration, change control, access management, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Support HIPAA-aligned safeguards in accordance with HIPAA regulations by protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data traversing the network.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, systems, help desk, compliance, and operational teams on incident response, audits, risk assessments, and project delivery.
- Maintain documentation for network diagrams, IP schemas, circuit inventories, failover paths, standard operating procedures, and support runbooks.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance, patching windows, incident response, and on-call support as needed.

- Working knowledge of network security, including segmentation, least privilege, secure remote access, log review, and threat detection.
- Experience in Microsoft enterprise environments, including Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure or hybrid identity, and DNS/DHCP.
- Familiarity with healthcare, regulated, or other compliance-driven environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSL/TLS, VLANs, and internet connectivity.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience in healthcare delivery, behavioral health, clinic, or multi-site care environments.
- Familiarity with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, or similar enterprise networking and security platforms.
- Exposure to SIEM, vulnerability scanning, endpoint detection, and security audits.
- Experience supporting cloud networking, Microsoft Azure, SD-WAN, zero trust, or infrastructure modernization initiatives.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent.
- Network reliability and performance optimization.

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
