Supporting a customer that delivers secure, high-impact IT solutions to more than 5,000 users across the Pacific theater, this role sits at the center of time-sensitive, mission-driven operations. Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and ensure network availability while adhering to DoD regulations.
  • Manage various network components, including LAN, BAN, WAN, telecommunications/transport protocols, Unified Communications/VoIP/Video Teleconferencing (VTC), WAN accelerators, load-balancers, firewalls, and cryptographic devices.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, Adaptive Security Appliances (ASAs), Taclane encryption devices, and Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) systems following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Support and troubleshoot External Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP) routing within a Palo Alto environment.
  • Implement and provide oversight of Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) and Taclane encryption methods to protect sensitive data.
  • Provide essential support in the maintenance of VDI environments, ensuring efficient and secure user access.
  • Manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Video Teleconferencing systems (VTC), and other Cisco VoIP systems to ensure reliable communication services.
  • Review and troubleshoot network transport and protocol-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the Cross-Domain Solutions team to facilitate secure information sharing across security domains.
  • Participate in project coordination alongside the project management team to ensure successful project execution.
  • Liaise with POCs and customers to understand their network needs and assist in providing appropriate solutions.
  • Follow guidance and direction from the Network Operations Lead, Deputy, and Operations Manager, adhering to established standards and procedures for network administration.
  • Participate in related solution technologies and special projects, as required.

Requirements

  • An Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility and US Passport.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, or similar, or 6+ years of experience in network administration.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, CCNA, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).
  • Obtain Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) within 6 months.
  • Strong knowledge in Cisco routers, switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, Taclane encryption methods, VDI environments, Cross-Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards including government Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing network requirements, and effectively communicate with POCs and customers.
  • Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.
  • Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
  • Relevant IT certifications, particularly related to Cisco and network security (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, ITIL).
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with virtual infrastructure, VDI/thin-client, and VoIP deployments.
  • Knowledge of Forcepoint, Juniper, and other network technologies.
  • Proficient in Help Desk and software applications (Jira, Service Now, Remedy).
  • Awareness of Command and Control (C2) applications.
  • Experience in ITIL framework and best practices (e.g., Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident Management, Capacity Planning).

Schedule

  • Fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Potential for non-traditional working hours, including consecutive nights and weekends.
  • Occasional travel to locations within the supported Area-of-Responsibility (AOR).
