Network Administrator

Requirements

Maximus is seeking a Network Administrator to support a federal client’s mission-critical systems in defense of our Homeland. The Network Administrator will configure and maintain network devices, monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, conduct capacity planning, collaborate with other teams, and manage network infrastructure integration.

• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators.
• Maintain network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues using firewall logs, switch packet capture tools, and engage with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct network capacity planning and bandwidth management to accommodate future growth and changing business needs.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate network infrastructure with cloud services, storage systems, and other IT components.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in networking and recommend their adoption as appropriate.
• Create and maintain documentation related to network configurations, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior network engineers.
• Manage, monitor, maintain, and secure networks and tenant network segments that integrate the transport of networks and data.
• Document and manage Internet Protocol Addresses.

Qualifications

This is an on-site position that requires a Secret Clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates must have seven (7) or more years of experience in a Network Administrator role or a related field, with five (5) or more years of experience in network configuration and monitoring, firewall configuration, and network monitoring tools.

Candidates must reside within a commutable distance for daily onsite work and on-call requirements. They must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00, commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.

Schedule

The position supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime, necessitating a willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
