Network Administrator
Job Summary
The Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the enterprise network infrastructure, which includes multiple regional sites. The Network Administrator assists the team with day-to-day operational tasks such as firewall rule management, switch port management, and network performance troubleshooting. The individual will also participate in new network equipment implementations and technology refreshes for networking technologies (switching, routing, firewalls, wireless, load balancers, etc...). The individual will also participate in network monitoring setup and tuning to ensure the network is optimally performing across the enterprise.
Job Description
- Participate in deployment, configuration, monitoring and support for all LAN and WAN connectivity across multiple sites. Responsible for onsite physical support of network technologies at the Twin Cities locations. Onsite implementation support may be required at other Imagine sites on a periodic basis
- Ensure appropriate system patches and firmware are applied to network devices
- Maintain an understanding of evolving network technologies and make recommendations for network improvement
- Plan and oversee new processes or process changes to support networking technologies; automate routine and repetitive tasks
- Manage datacenter IT equipment, including UPS, routers, firewalls, switches, wireless, load balancers, environmental systems, etc.
- Oversee daily operations of all network devices across the enterprise
- Develop and maintain systems configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues with packet captures and other analysis tools
- Work independently as well as a member of a team, and collaboratively across IT
- Participate in new network technology design and implementation projects, typically led by senior engineers
Minimum Qualifications of Position
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or similar field or High School diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years’ experience in IT network administration
Preferred Qualifications of Position
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, routers and wireless technologies
- Experience with Palo Alto NGFW and F5 BIG-IP load balancers
- Expertise with SD-WAN and network cloud technologies (ex. Azure)
- Experience with zero trust network technology
- Expertise with networking converged infrastructures
- Network security best practices
- Expertise with software defined networking / datacenter technologies
- Experience with PCAP network analysis tools
- Cisco and/or Palo Alto certifications
Knowledge and Skills
- Expertise with enterprise networking and monitoring tools
- Experience with Cisco routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and VPN
- Experience with Cisco switching, trunking, spanning tree
- Experience with firewall administration
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail

The national pay range for this role is listed in the job posting. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location.
