NetSuite Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Delivery Execution
  • Lead technical end-to-end NetSuite implementations, module rollouts (e.g., SuiteBilling, Advanced Revenue Management, OneWorld), and major system upgrade cycles.
    • Define project scope, construct detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), manage resource allocation, and track project milestones using Agile/Scrum or Waterfall methodologies.
    • Manage project budgets, deliver regular status dashboards to executive leadership, and proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and technical blockers.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between business units (Finance, Supply Chain, Sales Operations), internal development teams, and external NetSuite consulting partners.
  • Technical Oversight & Architecture Alignment
    • Review business requirements documents (BRD) and translate them into robust Technical Design Documents (TDD) that leverage NetSuite's native capabilities before resorting to custom code.
      • Oversee the development lifecycle of custom SuiteScripts (1.0 / 2.x / 2.1), SuiteFlows (Workflows), Suitelets, and advanced PDF/HTML templates, ensuring strict code quality and governance standards are met.
      • Manage complex third-party system integrations via SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST Web Services), RESTlets, and middleware platforms (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft).
      • Supervise complex data migration workflows, mapping exercises, and data validation activities from legacy ERP systems into NetSuite.
    • Change Management & Release Control
      • Establish and enforce rigorous release management, sandbox management, and change control protocols across production and non-production environments.
        • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, defining test scenarios, managing defect resolution tracking, and securing formal sign-offs from business stakeholders.
        • Develop end-user documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and deliver training sessions to ensure smooth post-go-live adoption.

  Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Professional Experience
    • Total IT Experience: Minimum of 5 8 years of experience in IT Project Management or Technical Lead roles.
    • NetSuite Core: 3 5+ years of direct experience managing or architecting NetSuite ERP implementation projects.
    • Proven track record of successfully delivering at least 2 full-lifecycle NetSuite ERP implementations from discovery through post-go-live support.
  • Technical Competencies
    • NetSuite Development Ecosystem: Deep conceptual understanding of SuiteScript (JavaScript-based APIs), SuiteAnalytics, SuiteFlow, and SuiteObjects.
    • Integrations: Solid understanding of web services, API protocols (REST, SOAP, JSON), and enterprise integration middleware (i.e., Celigo, Dell Boomi).
    • Functional Domains: Strong foundational knowledge of core ERP financial processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Multi-book accounting).
  • Management & Soft Skills
    • Possess a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent Agile delivery certification.
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical constraints to non-technical business leaders.
    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a high degree of accountability under tight deployment timelines.

  Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

  • Official NetSuite Certifications (e.g., NetSuite Certified Administrator, ERP Consultant, or SuiteCloud Developer).
  • Prior experience working as a hands-on NetSuite Developer or Technical Consultant earlier in your career.
  • Experience implementing NetSuite in specific industry sectors like SaaS/Tech, E-commerce, or Manufacturing/Distribution.
