Neonatal Physician Assistant- Part-Time- PRN- less than 20 hrs. weekly

Education and Experience

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance is required.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) required.
• Licensure by Maryland State Board of Physicians as a Physician’s Assistant is required.
• A minimum of two years of neonatal nursing or clinical experience in a NICU setting is strongly preferred.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider status is required; opportunity to become an NRP instructor if not already certified.

Skills

• BLS required.
• ACLS and/or other relevant certifications as required by the department.

Knowledge and Abilities

• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
