About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Our Level IV NICU RNs raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way in our 108-bed NICU.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
- Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
- Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
Requirements
- ADN or BSN is required with 12-month enrollment and 24-month completion (Magnet Hospital)
- Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
- One (1) year recent Level III or IV NICU RN experience in an acute care hospital
- STABLE certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
