Job Summary
Flight for Life® Colorado offers up to $8,000 in relocation assistance depending on your location. Our team serves Colorado communities and the Rocky Mountain Region with helicopters and aircrafts, making us the air medical program of choice for various organizations.
Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory procedures under physician direction or clinical guidelines in the care of Flight for Life NICU patients for Transports and hospital base.
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on therapy needs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care delivery and achieve desired outcomes.
- Utilize knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity to provide effective patient care.
- Support the organization's vision and mission while implementing performance improvement techniques to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of respiratory therapy experience including Level III/IV NICU, required.
- Critical Care air and ground transport experience, preferred.
- Prior experience using electronic medical records (EMR), preferred.
- High School Diploma / G.E.D., required.
- Associate Degree, preferred.
- Current state Respiratory Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment.
- CRT by NBRC, Basic Life Support American Heart Association, required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association Required ACLS certification from upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire (for locations in Kansas, ACLS is required within one (1) year of hire/transfer date).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required Current NRP certification.
- Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) years.
- Valid Driver License, required.
- Maintain current on all required certifications by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems.
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferred.
- Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.
