Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is an industry-leading manufacturer of highly engineered components and sub-assemblies, supplying the commercial aerospace, military, and industrial markets with small-to-large “function critical” products.

About the role

We are looking for an X-Ray Level II on 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) to join our team at our aerospace foundry, reporting to our NDT Supervisor. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with over 30 years in business.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment to perform Film Radiographic NDT inspections in accordance with approved work instructions.
  • Interpret and evaluate NDT method results for acceptance or rejection; read and interpret engineering drawings/models, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Work from verbal and written instructions (e.g., procedures, repair work orders, technique sheets, engineering drawings) to plan and perform inspection sequences for part conformance.
  • Set up and operate tooling and equipment; make offsets and adjustments to ensure valid test results.
  • Perform checks and calibrations of test process media to maintain test integrity.
  • Complete inspection operations and related documentation in accordance with customer and company policies, procedures, work instructions, specifications, and contract letters.
  • Inspect parts for material defects and irregularities; interpret test results and accept parts meeting applicable standards.
  • Identify non-conformance based on location, size, orientation, and pattern in accordance with established criteria.
  • Identify recurring inspection issues and recommend changes in methods or equipment to eliminate errors.
  • Perform or assist with new development work as needed.
  • Work with technical support groups to develop and experiment with new techniques for inspecting parts and/or equipment.
  • Generate and/or develop procedures and work process documentation to support new techniques.
  • Perform equipment standardization, prepare parts, and conduct performance checks in accordance with work process standards.
  • Perform additional duties to support employees’ growth and development.
  • Refer problems to Level III or Team Leader to resolve difficulties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 4+ years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Certification Level II and proof of hours in Radiography.
  • Good communication skills, ability to follow instructions, and ability to learn new skills.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR requirements.

Pay

Salary Range: $30 - $38/hour + $2.50 shift incentive. Overtime opportunities available.
