NDT Penetrant Level II - Aerospace Manufacturing (1:30pm - 10:00pm)

Join our team at Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), an industry-leading manufacturer of highly engineered components and sub-assemblies for the commercial aerospace, military, and industrial markets. This role is based at our aerospace foundry in Cudahy, CA, reporting to the NDT Supervisor on 2nd shift.

About the role

As a Penetrant Level II, you will set up standardized equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection, and document findings. You will also conduct system performance checks, provide guidance to trainees and Level I personnel, and develop work instructions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recertify every five years per NAS 410 via practical and specific examinations equivalent to initial certification.
• Set up and operate penetrant inspection equipment, process parts, and evaluate results for acceptance or rejection.
• Interpret and document inspection results accurately.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standards.
• Provide guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I personnel.
• Develop work instructions from approved general procedures (with final approval by a Penetrant Level III).
• Maintain familiarity with codes, standards, and contractual documents controlling the method.
• Apply basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• NAS 410 certification in one or more NDT methods.
• Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee) due to ITAR requirements.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
