NDT Technician - Acoustic Emission (Level 2)

About the role

We will train you in NDT. This is a role for a talented, detail-oriented journeyman level technician who is ready to lead. You'll run MAE inspections from start to finish, direct junior technicians, and be the subject-matter expert in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute MAE inspections with minimal supervision, from test setup through final report
  • Direct Level 1 technicians during inspection activities and field operations
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret acoustic emission data to evaluate system safety and performance
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain compliance with established procedures
  • Troubleshoot and repair Quantum fuel systems at our Midland, Texas facility
  • Conduct maintenance on customer vehicles, trailers, and alternative-fuel systems
  • Travel domestically for inspections and field service

Requirements

  • NDT Level 2 certification in Acoustic Emission (or equivalent MAE qualification)
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; comfortable directing others in the field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification or technical school preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record; Class A CDL (or ability to obtain one)
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office basics: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Able to travel and work in varying field conditions
  • Able to pass the Texas RRC CNG Service Installation exam

  • Office and field work

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Traveling to customer sites domestically and internationally
