AAP/EEO Statement: Standard Inspection Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer: minority/female/disability/veteran/sexual orientation, encouraging diversity in the workplace and a drug-free workplace. We need to remove EEO and other boilerplate. We need to produce sections: maybe About the role (summary/objective), Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (education/experience required), Qualifications (preferred?), Skills (maybe MS Office, technical docs), Benefits (none given), Pay (none given), Schedule (position type/hours). Also maybe Work Environment, Physical Demands, Travel, Security Clearance could be part of Requirements or separate sections? The instruction: Use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we should map content to these headings if they exist. We have: - About the role: Summary/Objective. - Responsibilities: Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To ... plus maybe other duty statements. - Requirements: Education / Experience Required (must be 18, HS diploma, CA driver's license, basic skills). Also maybe Work Authorization/Security Clearance? Could be part of Requirements. - Qualifications: Preferred (5 years experience, LVL II UT qualified, able to read technical docs, MS Office, understand Naval Ship Repair). Could be Qualifications. - Skills: maybe MS Office, technical documentation, etc. But we already have Qualifications covering skills. Could separate Skills: MS Office, reading technical docs, etc. - Benefits: none given, so omit. - Pay: none given (Salary Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt but no amount). The instruction: never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It states Salary Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt but not actual pay. So we should not create Pay section. - Schedule: Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: full-time, 40+ hours, M-F 0600-1430 with overtime. That's schedule info. So we can create Schedule section. Also we have Work Environment, Travel, Physical Demands. Could be part of Responsibilities or a separate section like Working Conditions, but not in allowed headings list. We could incorporate into Responsibilities or maybe a separate section like "Work Environment" but not in allowed list; we should stick to allowed headings. Could add as part of Responsibilities or maybe a separate section like "Working Conditions" but not allowed. Better to incorporate into Responsibilities or maybe a separate section like "Work Environment" but risk violating instruction? The instruction: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It says e.g., implying those are examples, not exclusive? It says "use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." Likely they expect only those headings. So we should not create other headings. So we need to fit all info into those sections. We can put Work Environment, Travel, Physical Demands under Responsibilities or maybe under Requirements? Probably Responsibilities includes duties and work conditions. We'll include them in Responsibilities as bullet points. We also have "Other Duties" note about job description not comprehensive; we can include that as a note in Responsibilities. We must preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to keep details like "must be available to work at heights, confined spaces..." etc. We need to format lists with

    About the role

The NDT 2 Technician is responsible for performing Visual Testing (VT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), in an ISO 9001 environment. They must be familiar with OSHA requirements for safety and hot work onboard naval vessels.

    Responsibilities

    • Qualified to properly perform specific NDT processes (VT, MT & PT) and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and to record results.
    • Perform work scope review, procedural reviews, and documentation required and preparations of equipment and/or supplies needed.
    • Must be available to work at heights, confined spaces and have the ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes.
    • May involve carrying objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., frequent stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, and walking.
    • Work environment includes office and shipyard settings; travel may be required for project needs.
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Note: This job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive listing of activities; duties may change at any time with or without notice.

    Requirements

    • Must be 18 years old.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid California driver's license.
    • Possess basic skills (reading, writing, and mathematical skills).
    • Completion of a satisfactory background check.
    • Pass a drug test and physical examination.
    • Eligibility to work in the US.
    • Obtain DBIDS-level security clearance.
    • OSHA 10 Maritime certification.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred: 5 years of experience in a ship repair NDT environment.
    • LVL II Ultrasonic Testing (UT) qualified.
    • Able to read, comprehend, and prepare technical documentation, specifications, and procedures.
    • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) computer skills.
    • Understand the Naval Ship Repair requirements and working environment.

    Skills

    • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency.
    • Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare technical documentation.
    • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
But note we already listed MS Office and technical docs in Qualifications; Skills may duplicate. Could combine but we need to avoid duplication? The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Duplication is okay as long as we preserve info. However we might want to avoid redundant sections. Could merge Skills into Qualifications, but we need to decide. We have Qualifications already covering preferred experience, LVL II UT, technical docs, MS Office, Naval Ship Repair understanding. Skills could be just the basic skills (reading, writing, math) and MS Office. But we already have basic skills in Requirements. So maybe we can omit Skills section if it's redundant. However we need to include all substantive info; we already have basic skills in Requirements, MS Office in Qualifications, technical docs in Qualifications. So we can skip Skills section. But we need to ensure we didn't lose any info: we have: - Summary/Objective covered. - Duties covered. - Requirements: age, education, driver's license, basic skills, background check, drug test, eligibility, DBIDS clearance, OSHA 10 Maritime. - Qualifications: preferred 5 years experience, LVL II UT qualified, able to read technical docs, MS Office, understand Naval Ship Repair. - Schedule: we haven't added yet. Add Schedule section:

    Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week. Shift: M‑F 0600 – 1430 (or as otherwise assigned by NDT Supervisor) with pre‑scheduled overtime as needed.

We also have Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: full-time, 40+ hours, M-F 0600-1430, overtime. We have Work Environment and Travel included in Responsibilities. We have Physical Demands included in Responsibilities. We have "Other Duties" note included. We have removed EEO. Now check for any leftover info: Location: San Diego, CA, US; Additional Locations: Bremerton, WA, US; Level of Experience: Level 2; Reports to: General Manager; Salary Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt. We haven't included location, additional locations, level of experience, reports to, salary status. Are these substantive? Yes. Should we include them? The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information. So we need to include location, additional locations, level of experience, reports to, salary status. Where to put them? Could be in About the
