NDT Inspector Level II

About the role

Level II NDT Inspector conducting liquid penetrant and radiographic inspections in Hollywood, FL.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and complete process controls for penetrant inspection (lighting, temperatures, system performance evaluations).
• Process parts through the complete penetrant inspection cycle.
• Interpret process procedures, specifications, and evaluation techniques for liquid penetrant inspection.
• Document liquid penetrant inspection results.
• Develop inspection techniques from processing procedures, codes, and specifications.
• Complete and interpret process controls for radiographic inspection (x-ray tube warm-up, densitometer calibration, file step wedge preparation, film holder and intensity screen inspection, film storage, viewer intensity checks, film processing solution checks).
• Set up and operate radiation-generating devices (x-ray machines) and process parts through the complete radiographic inspection cycle.
• Interpret radiographic film and document inspection results.
• Develop radiographic inspection techniques from processing procedures, codes, and specifications.
• Ensure all maintenance actions comply with FAA-approved data and manufacturer’s maintenance manuals.
• Document all actions correctly on appropriate maintenance forms.
• Maintain test areas in a clean, orderly condition and ensure tools and equipment are properly calibrated.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Conduct a variety of Non-Destructive Tests, including liquid penetrant and radiography.
