NDT Inspector Level II

Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Conduct NDT for the acceptance of parts and document the results if a demonstration of proficiency in this ability was included in the practical examination.
- Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing, and inspection technologies used by the employer.
- Record all inspection functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with customer policies and procedures.
- Verify that routine inspections and checks of NDI equipment are accomplished as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Ensure that inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids used to perform inspections, are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
Analytical skills: must be able to gather information and use data to determine cause and effect for complex problem solving.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Level II Certification in either MT, PT, ET, UT, RT
- Level II certification for one or more applicable NDT disciplines
- Experience in quality inspection, aerospace, aircraft inspection, NDT, Ultrasonic, or NDT Level 2
