NDT Inspector Level II

Aircraft Technology, Inc. (ATI), a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is an FAA/EASA Part 145 Repair Station supporting a wide range of rotary and fixed-wing components on commercial and military platforms worldwide.

About the role

Full-time, direct-hire Level II NDT Inspector position in Hollywood, FL.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and complete process controls for penetrant inspection (e.g., proper lighting, temperatures, system performance evaluations).
• Process parts through the complete penetrant inspection cycle.
• Interpret process procedures, specifications, and evaluation techniques specific to liquid penetrant inspection.
• Document liquid penetrant inspection results.
• Develop inspection techniques derived from processing procedures, codes, and specifications.
• Complete and interpret process controls for radiographic inspection (e.g., x-ray tube warm-up procedures, densitometer calibration, file step wedge preparation and review, film holder and intensity screen inspection and maintenance, film storage, viewer intensity checks, film processing solution checks and maintenance).
• Set up and operate radiation-generating devices (e.g., x-ray machines) and process parts through the complete radiographic inspection cycle.
• Interpret process procedures, specifications, and evaluation techniques specific to radiographic inspection.
• Interpret radiographic film and document inspection results.
• Develop inspection techniques derived from processing procedures, codes, and specifications.
• Ensure all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with FAA-approved data and applicable manufacturer’s maintenance manuals.
• Document all actions correctly and completely on appropriate maintenance forms.
• Maintain test areas in a clean, orderly condition at all times.
• Ensure tools and equipment are properly calibrated as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
